Privacy Policy — Pebble AI Mobile Companion

1. Overview

Pebble AI Mobile Companion ("the App") is the mobile client for Pebble AI, an enterprise AI productivity platform. The App lets you securely access your organization's cloud-based Pebble AI workspace from your mobile device. The App holds no business or AI logic of its own — it is a secure remote client that displays your workspace and sends your requests to the Pebble AI deployment operated by, or on behalf of, your organization.

This policy explains what information the App handles, why, and your choices. It applies to the App only; your use of the Pebble AI workspace itself is also governed by your organization's agreements and policies.

2. Who is responsible for your data

If you use the App through your employer or another organization, that organization is the controller of the data in your Pebble AI workspace and determines how it is used and retained. Pebbletek Pty Ltd ("Pebbletek", "we", "us") provides the Pebble AI platform and processes data on your organization's behalf in accordance with our agreement with them.

For personal or individual deployments, you are the controller of your own data.

3. Information the App handles

Account and identity

  • Your account identifiers (e.g., email address, display name) and the organization, workspace, and project context associated with your session.

Content you provide

  • Messages, prompts, and other text you send to your AI workspace.
  • Photos and images you choose to capture or attach to a conversation.
  • Location you choose to attach to a conversation (one-time, only when you add it).
  • Voice/audio you provide when using voice features.
  • Files or attachments you choose to upload.

Authentication data

  • OAuth access and refresh tokens used to keep you signed in. These are stored in the device's secure keystore (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore), are never written to logs, and are sent only to your Pebble AI deployment.

Device and technical information

  • Device model, operating system version, and App version.
  • A device push token (see Notifications below).
  • The Pebble deployment URL you connect to (entered manually or via a pairing QR code).

The App does not include third-party advertising SDKs, and we do not sell your personal information or use it for advertising.

4. Device permissions we request

The App requests these permissions only for the stated purpose, and only at the point you use the related feature. You can grant or revoke each in your device settings.

Permission Why
Camera To scan the QR code that connects the App to your Pebble site, and to capture photos you choose to attach to a conversation.
Photo Library To let you attach existing pictures to a conversation.
Location (when in use) To attach your current location to a conversation, only when you choose to add it.
Microphone To use voice features.
Face ID / Touch ID / biometrics To optionally lock and unlock the App on your device. Biometric data never leaves your device and is handled entirely by the operating system.
Notifications To deliver push notifications from your workspace.

5. How information is used

  • To authenticate you and maintain your session.
  • To display your workspace and transmit your messages, attachments, location, and voice input to your Pebble AI deployment for processing.
  • To deliver notifications you have enabled.
  • To operate, secure, and troubleshoot the App.

6. How information is shared

  • Your Pebble AI deployment. Content and account context are sent to the Pebble AI environment operated by or for your organization, where they are processed and stored under your organization's control and data-residency configuration.
  • Push notification providers. To deliver notifications, your device push token is sent to your Pebble AI deployment, which delivers messages directly to Apple Push Notification service (APNs) and/or Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM). We do not use a third-party push aggregator.
  • Apple / Google. As the App is distributed through their app stores, those platforms process information per their own policies.
  • Legal. We may disclose information where required by law.

We do not sell your personal information.

7. Data security and residency

  • All communication between the App and your Pebble AI deployment uses HTTPS / TLS provided by the operating system.
  • Authentication tokens are stored in the device secure keystore and are never logged.
  • The App uses only standard, operating-system-provided cryptography; it implements no proprietary encryption.
  • Where your data is stored and how long it is retained is determined by your organization's Pebble AI deployment and its data-residency configuration.

8. Data retention

The App itself stores only what is needed to function on your device (such as your session tokens, chosen deployment URL, and cached display data), which is removed when you sign out or uninstall the App. Content in your workspace is retained according to your organization's settings and policies.

9. Your choices and rights

  • Sign out / disconnect at any time in the App; this clears your session from the device.
  • Revoke a device from the Pebble AI web app (Account → Devices) to end its access immediately.
  • Manage permissions (camera, photos, location, microphone, notifications) in your device settings.
  • Access, correction, and deletion of workspace data are handled through your organization's administrator and the Pebble AI platform. Depending on your location, you may have rights under laws such as the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, the GDPR, or the CCPA; contact us or your organization to exercise them.

10. Children's privacy

The App is intended for workplace and enterprise use and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. International transfers

Depending on your organization's deployment, your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Such transfers are governed by your organization's configuration and applicable safeguards.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, through the App or your organization.
